Plumbing Software Pricing: What $59, $89 and $199 a Month Get You

Software pricing is often the hardest part of a demo to pin down. Per-technician fees, setup fees, add-on modules, annual contracts and “call us for a quote” make it hard to know what you will actually pay. Plumbing shop owners deserve a straight answer, so here it is.

Three Plans, Flat Monthly Prices

PlumbingBossPro has three plans:

• Pro — $89 a month
• Crew — $199 a month

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is needed to start it. On every plan, customers, addresses and employees are unlimited. You are never billed per tech or per customer, so hiring a plumber or signing a property manager with forty rentals does not change your bill.

Start: $59 a Month

Start suits an owner-operator. It includes:

• 2 office users and 1 van
• 500 text segments a month, sent and received
• Equipment saved on the house, the Waiting List, the dispatch board and the tech app
• Estimates, invoices and the customer app

Pro: $89 a Month

Pro is for a shop that has added a second van. It adds:

• 3 office users and 2 vans
• Billing automation
• Replying to customers by text

• 1,000 text segments a month, sent and received

For most two-van plumbing companies, the automation is what makes Pro worth it. Two-way texting and the full set of alerts cut a lot of phone calls, and billing automation means less time chasing payments.

Crew: $199 a Month

Crew is for shops with three or more vans. It includes:

How to Pick a Plan

The quickest way to choose is to count vans and office people:

• One van, one or two people in the office: Start.
• Two vans, or you want two-way texting and billing automation: Pro.
• Three or more vans, or more than three office users: Crew.

Then check texting. If you send a lot of customer texts, look at the segment allowance. A segment is one standard text, and long messages count as more than one. Short, plain texts go further.

What Does Not Change Between Plans

The core of the software is the same on every plan. A plumber on Start sees the same tech app as a plumber on Crew: calls in route order, the navigation button, equipment and access notes on the card, past notes, the inspection checklist, before-and-after photos, Start, Skip and Complete, and the time clock. The office on every plan works from the same Waiting List map and the same dispatch board.

Equipment saved on the house works the same way on every plan too. Water heaters, softeners, pumps, shut-offs, cleanouts and backflow preventers are saved on each address and fill in on new jobs. The customer app, estimates with online approval and invoices with card on file are there from the first day.

What changes between plans is mostly scale and automation: how many vans and office users, how many texts, and how much of the billing and customer messaging runs on its own. That makes moving up simple. When you add a van, you change plans and keep working. Your customers, houses, equipment, job history and settings all stay exactly where they were.

Thinking About the Cost

The fair way to think about any software price is against what it replaces.
